A lady in grey, walking through the tall grass
The salt filling her lungs
Her favorite place to be
Though she wanted something to break
All the monotony
She came to the cliff, staring off the edge
Into the waters so deep
Waves crashed against the rocks below
And seagulls flocked above
She peered down into the waves
Seeing what was hiding amongst the foam
She saw there, floating, a man of whom
The likes she had never seen
She jumped down into the waves
WIthout looking to see the way, looking to see the way
But she was wrong, oh was she wrong
She thought it was so deep, thought it was so deep
She jumped down into the waves
And it was shallow as it could get, shallow was it could get
She had been deceived
Now she's in a crumpled mess
Down amongst the rocks
Her torn and tattered dress
Floating amongst the foam
And worst of all
She was all alone
The man was nowhere to be found
She jumped down into the waves
WIthout looking to see the way, looking to see the way
But she was wrong, oh was she wrong
She thought it was so deep, thought it was so deep
She jumped down into the waves
And it was shallow as it could get, shallow was it could get
She had been deceived
