un Coeur BrulantA Poem by kij143And here I lay my breaths shaky and quick And of all the wants, it makes me sick. To hear you say another’s name, While my thoughts are chocked, I cry in shame. To taste a drop of liquid rush And the blood burning through my veins, I blush I lust for water, for I can no longer cry As my thirst is stronger, and from thirst I die And my blood it boils, my heart it burns, My thoughts disperse, my body yearns. Until a decision, from which I’m faced To have the water but just a taste And I’m left here burning, with the memory of those sweet few sips, And I imagine pressing the glass to my scorching lips And quenching my thirst which forever I’ve yearned, As my lust is on fire, and raging it burns. And here I lay, my breaths shaky and quick, And of all the wants it makes me sick, To see you there, and to yet deny, As my thirst is stronger, and from thirst I die
