Mother Nature is a B***h

Mother Nature is a B***h

A Poem by Kieran James McGovern

Beautiful and ice cold

Forever yours and mine to hold

But she sings a new tune

From one season to the next

She imparts her wisdom in autumn bittersweet

To sustain her winter’s hex

And wakes the world with a gentle kiss

Upon the first of spring

By summer, she loves us with vigor

I’m addicted to her sting…

Here we stand in early winter

We dread her heartfelt promise

Faith, lads, Mother Nature is a b***h

But at least this one is honest
