spiritual thought in the fall

spiritual thought in the fall

A Poem by Kieran James McGovern

My mind is entwined in a whirlpool of autumnal colors

The essence of ancients, my sisters, my brothers

I am one with the earth

I am one with the universe

Admiring how leaves on trees

Who are awaiting the fading of their vibrant green

Send the sun’s love back up to heaven

They will survive their collective death

Revived by a cosmic second in a course-of-time's breath

That's what they always do…
