MENTOR'S insecurities

MENTOR'S insecurities

A Poem by Kieran James McGovern
"

CAPS-lock was on when i entered the title, too lazy to fix it...

"

The answers that they want from me

Mysteries I can’t foresee

I can’t proclaim to know of fate

I can only try and speculate

Ask them all but they don’t know

Uncertainty certainly best place to grow

‘Cause anyone can sit and preach

But only the patient ever see

Filled with grief and down and out

In need of help, living in doubt

Darkness looming here and now

And I wish that I could help somehow

So I could say that you must keep on

Every one of us sings our own song

Sun capsizes sky’s, day’s over soon

And the nightly reprise could mean doom

When people do the s**t they do

All the ugliness is in plain view

But there’s not a lot I claim as fact

Knowledge that the whole world lacks

So I won’t say there is any hope

‘Cause that’s something I just don’t know

But as long as you are still alive

Then you can always turn the tide
