Earthquakes

Earthquakes

A Poem by Kieran James McGovern
"

2006 - of a dead friend and isolation, perseverance

"

Gloomy in a room by afternoon
And it' the pain I've come to love
Earthquakes keep you alive
Arose this morning bright and early
Just to see the rising sun
Hardships teach you to strive
Hardships teach you to strive
"The art of losing isn't hard to master"
But as we grow in loss we truly gain
Earthquakes keep us alive
Earthquakes keep us alive
Earthquakes keep us alive
Earthquakes keep us alive

We must learn to lose to learn to love, though it often makes no sense
But even still, I'll never forget you, my friend

I once thought of leaving the party early
But I've come to find I'm just fine here
Earthquakes keep us alive
Earthquakes keep us alive
Earthquakes keep us alive
Earthquakes keep us alive
