Be Somewhere

Be Somewhere

A Poem by Kieran James McGovern
"

"

The most vicious lies are those

We tell

Unto

Our own selves

The people we know least

Live nearer

Than we think;

In mirrors

Everyone’ll set the world on fire

Every bum is bound to teach, inspire

Everyone is so benevolent

Responsible and vigilant

Everyone is gonna be someone

Everbody’s a celebrity

They’ve got such faith in fate

And what is “meant to be”

The greatest challenge

Is to find balance

Between character

And talent

It’s sad

But true

And can you imagine

Can you fathom

What’ll happen

When we do?

If we do

But everybody’s gotta be somewhere

Nobody’s got the time to spare

Everybody’s gotta plot their scheme

Everybody’s gotta chase their dream

And they all look great in bathing suits

Everyone has gotta tie their noose

Gas in the bank

Cash in the tank

Little kids who never learned to say “please” and “thanks”

Be somewhere. I know sometimes I rather be anywhere in the world anywhere in the universe all I know is anywhere, but here. Everyone feels the need to get away sometime I guess it depends on the person and where they want to go. Nice job!
