Heart of Job

Heart of Job

A Poem by Rodney Carlstrom
"

A religious song that I wrote with a pal of mine.

"

Heart of Job

I cry out, “God why me!?”

You took my life but I still live,

Useless how, my cries may seem,

My life to you I give,

God, you gave and took away,

A heart of Job I want; I pray,

Though they slay me!

I still serve you the same way,

Chorus:

Out of Love I gave my all,

You take away and I sometimes fall,

You never fail; not a moment to late,

I give my all; you control my fate,

Bridge:

I wore my life out on my sleeve,

Hoping that one day you’d see,

The heart of Job inside of me,

Outro:

And oh how I cry!

Because I know my redeemer is alive!

I like this "A heart of Job I want"
I don't hear much about Job in religious songs.

:D
