My eyes are wide open

But my imagination is running wild

I’m wide awake when I’m asleep

Having sleepless nights filled with dreams

Fantasy rules my life

And when I do not dream

I become restless

My life is a dream

I am a Dreamer

Terrific piece, it defiantly does describe how it is to be a 'Dreamer.' You used wonderful metaphors and oxymorons, "My life is a dream" and "I'm wide awake when I'm asleep". They weren't too overbearing, and complimented the feel of the poem. Oh, and I loved the font you used also. It added that little extra dreamish quality.

It was a great poem! Whoever says short poems don't hold enough insightfulness, well they obviously aren't very good at reading ;)

I like it. It's the way that all of my nights feel...like "i'm wide awake when I am asleep" this has some very strong lines in it, even though it is a short poem. great write!
