i was once here.
era of profundity is anew. bewilderment gathered as rampart in solstice. yielded by inexorable circumstance. never before was it darker here. the rain is so much stronger. the wind blows even wilder. but i remembered a place worse. indistinct precedence knew this place. where the sun was balmy and hazy. acquainted to the unwritten amity of the season. warmth of foliage in bright ember. drops of graces in crystal rains. soft whispers of the zephyrs to the soul. and so i remembered. i'm reminded of an order unfamiliar to us. but also I'm reminded of someone who was like me. we glanced steadily beyond the fringes. we trudged the twisted paths of the unknown. verbosity was futile for understanding. subtlety was a craft for us to be seen. unselfish in deeds we adore. congruent in ways we ponder. amid the few who knew well. i remembered an affinity to a stranger. it was long gone, though. someplace unlikely ours. i figured that behind our fancied fate, circumstances grew greater than our influence. i returned in solitude. i was once here. i gaped directly at the molten radiance of the sun-down, along the edge of the world. the earth unfolds a familiar scent which brings transitory blazes beneath the pale sky. the wind suddenly whispers surreal chronicles, overpowering. i was once here. maybe I never really left. oh so, I remembered, because I am unable to forget. © 2011 soulkid |
