asunder

asunder

A Poem by AKhaus
"

asunder

"
I once thought as a small child that I would be able to escape this prison and go to a fairytale.

It is only then I realized my freedom was a matter of mind and that the cell like chains rattled behind me everywhere I went.

My head cast iron. My soul cold ans ice and I felt as though it was all a lie.

I only discovered that day I was only to find I was a grain of sand and a moment of time. My dreams were clouds, my heart a river, my soul the sky, and without those stars, I will surely die.
