Forget

Forget

A Poem by AKhaus

In the dark I feel the sharp edges of your mind, so unkind.
In this black empty space I hear your heart slowing down.
I imagine you’ll be leaving soon.
I won’t be able to move towards you anymore since the space is deafening.
Out of nothing comes a pit we could have filled with something more than these obscured conversations.
So dissatisfied with the blank I’m drawing when I ask myself why I took this path.
Please forget me!
Please that that we ever connected and it was a passing dream.
No bond to yearn for in the dark. No love lost just time consumed by nostalgia.
