Brittle Bones

Brittle Bones

A Poem by AKhaus

I lean back to take the deepest breath as I feel my life drip from my soul.
There is nothing that aches deeper than your empty smile on a rainy day.
My feet lead towards you in a relentless pattern of unknowing as my hands hunger for your skin.
Such a craving, an absolutely indescribable desire to consume.
It is your existence which breaks me through as though these bones had never known the strength to resist you.
There you are, in this quiet storm as I wonder how you ever came to be...
I don't think I can or will ever forget the crevasse  you have carved which makes me bleed.
My enduring love, you are the howling echo which allows me to grow beyond the measures of these darkest moments so I may feel my life drip from my soul into your river of eternal flow.
