oblivion

oblivion

A Poem by AKhaus

I don't want to feel.
I don't want to see her lips part as she walks away...I don't need to feel what I am feeling when I am alone.
Don't speak when you need to speak to me, just let the words bleed to my feet.
Let the smooth rush of your voice cover me with those sticky emotions you keep deep down in that cave of self preservation.
Hit with that hate that lingers behind that love.
I want to feel it all or nothing.
Keep everything away or give it all to me.
Don't speak when you need to speak to me, just let those words bleed to my feet so I can slip into your oblivion.
I don't need to not feel everything you feel.

I enjoyed reading your poem. It was very emotive and touching. To experience a painful love, an angry one. To feel that this kind of love validates oneself or are just deserving of that kind of love only. It is sad but movingly told.
