We are

We are

A Poem by AKhaus

We are what we are and no in between.
When the sun sets our beasts roam free.
The kiss from the moon as nightshade steals her last breath.
I have only one regret.

We are what we seem and much between.
When the moon falls our angel calls.
The touch from the sun as she walks again.
I have only one true love.

We are what we despise and without clear eyes.
When the calls for justice fall to our feet, and all that we know slides into the unknown.
The fists of denial wake the world, as we battle our shadows alone.
I have only one hate.

We are what we dream and failing at the seams.
When the river runs down our cries only drown.
The flailing hands frantically waving as no one can see.
I have only one wish.
