Change of fortune

Change of fortune

A Poem by AKhaus

A change of fortune which now has come in that moon’s pass.
My father to my left speaks as my mother to my right sleeps.
What once was silenced awakens in absolute violence and the gentle hands fall to the side.
How quickly kindness can turn to cruelty over such an insolent moment.
How dare he that challenges her, in all in magnanimous existence.
Let minds go ablaze as the heart turns black then waits for the gates and then the attack at last.
What hunger that transforms to utter disdain for the flesh in one gesture of slighted displeasure?
Humble that head for it has paralyzed the heart and now what was familiar is forever apart!
