unfindable

unfindable

A Poem by AKhaus

Holding my spine up as the water crashed down on me.
I could have only held that breath for so long before I stayed under that time.
Nothing could have stopped it from coming down, coming down to bury me.
I will only be remembered for my fire.
My skin twisted beneath that weight and there was a wrong inside me.
Come see what I was when that hurricane tore me into pieces.
Find me there below the rocks, scattered into fragments unrecognizable, completely unfindable...
No hands could have stopped that hurt, hurting deep in my bones.
Not one firefly came into the dark to light my way, no one there to help guide me through that black and empty white.
Hearing the steps as they danced on that rickety pine floor, I could hear my heart sink and then I was no more.
