The Calling

The Calling

A Poem by AKhaus

It’s a fear that crawls from your spine into that cavernous hole you call a soul.
Perpetuating a certain madness that starts the hunger which you will never be able to feed.
The once lackluster nightfall transforms into the hunting ground from which you will attempt to hasten that tormenting yearning grading every sense you have implored.
It is the calling she whispered in your ear as you scraped your limbs across the floor just a moment after you summoned her and became the darknesses thrall.
