Burial Exhumed

Burial Exhumed

A Poem by AKhaus

I bury things deep inside my cavernous core.
I don’t mean to be cold it’s just that those feelings I am not able to feel or hold when they’ve sunk so low into my belly of pain.
You were never forgotten just stuffed you down deep and I couldn’t hear you, not even in my sleep.
As I dig into the trenches and layers which almost seem insurmountable, I finally can visit those buried parts of me.
Remembering those moments that haven’t ever left the fibers that make me be.
Allow me this self excavation, I don’t plan on making excuses or false explanations but hope you will be present when I find our reason
