Guileful guise

Guileful guise

A Poem by AKhaus

Such a perfectly crafted guileful guise as you rationalize your righteous lies.
Always seemingly slighted, you present such a serene existence.
When will your shadows appear?
You can only keep them in the back of your mind so long before they reappear.
You utilize emotions as tools of your trade as you numb the people around you with clever words and innocent stares.
Unaware of such reflexes you continue forth and choose to believe it's never your fault.
A participant engages and is not a victim of the crime.
Your pleas of blind fool's love wears away and your face is seen in due time.
