Resonate

Resonate

A Poem by AKhaus

What will finally resonate when the moon has passed and it’s too late?
Nothing is beholden to such a pledge as the tattered fate of loving you.
There can be no resolute when the ends cannot meet.
You just leave and don’t return.
The stench of this rotted fantasy has caused me such remorse that I can’t even begin to explain.
It’s not my place but I wonder how must one live in lies as the bed stays warm with oblivion and neglect.
How can you reconcile the things you speak with the actions you take?
What will ever resonate for you to understand I hadn’t much left when we started this play and now in it’s conclusion you make me a culprit in your heart’s betrayal.
