I thought I knew you

I thought I knew you

A Poem by AKhaus

I thought I knew you But I was mistaken.
Maybe in my confusion you were misshapen.
Now I see you and I am frightened to death.
I’m hoping you just keep moving not hearing my startled breath.

Very subtle, just like the poem itself and what is told in it. Nicely rhymed as well. Makes me wonder, what happened?
