the destroyer

the destroyer

A Poem by AKhaus

Oh Mama, mama please take this doom from me.
The doubts which grow like a weeds, they are the repetitive battering which paralyzes me.
Let the destroyer escape so I may love the world and take control of my fate.
Not everyone must suffer for insolence, not everyone must meet the edge of my blade.
I want to be free of this struggle that festers constantly inside of me.
My mind moves too fast and my heart beats too slow, while I am stuck in this limbo.
It is a plague fed with a wooden spoon which has shadowed my every move.
Oh Mama, mama please let me be without this paranoid delusion that hell is coming after me.
Your skeletons are gone but they seem to appear in my dreams, staying even though the moon has sung it's last song.
