fallen

fallen

A Poem by AKhaus

Alas, I have fallen from the heaven above to be recreated into such mangled flesh.
My eyes peeled back with envious rage of the fire from which I was born.
My bones clamoring with inhospitable discontent from the grace from which I was torn.
In all my defeat I finally see that am lost to the chaos of finding myself in a world which fears all that I am.
The absolute repudiation of my purpose seething under their callus tones of disappointment as they fix themselves to pursue my neck upon the gallows.
No delicate song can save me, no beauteous chorus to chime reason to their minds.
Alas, I am fallen to a ground chilled by the fear of those never knowing what lies outside the spectrum of their own physicality.
