the raven's mourning

the raven's mourning

A Poem by AKhaus

For the longest time I would hear the raven's mourning.
I wondered why until I could see his eyes.
Trapped inside the storm he was dying yet all he knew let him go.
Such great walls they did build around his mind, only to watch it fade as he took his flight.
Oh, how for the longest time I would hear that wretched creatures mourning and here it was me calling from inside.
