vines

vines

A Poem by AKhaus

Caught in the vines, dangling as I witness your nightmares.
Unable to touch you past that invisible wall, I tried but could never quite reach you.
Trust shattered, hearts so sore, I wanted to be a bit more than just that door.
Your eyes shaking with an ocean inside them, as you sail away.
Caught in the vines, I was too late.
Never mind that I would wait, I was too late.
