unconscious

unconscious

A Poem by AKhaus

What was buried there never died.
That neglect that laid hidden in the back of your mind grew into the dark shadows you fed me with pride.
Chaos, confusion and defenses surrounded your shroud.
Smother, ignore, stifle and impregnate the child with shame and hate.
How these little games sealed me in the tomb of love you left on my plate.
Such war, such inexhaustible pain...I never blamed you I just wished it was different so I didn't feel this way.
