incongruent lovers

incongruent lovers

A Poem by AKhaus

I can take a beating like no other but it's the lies that pierce through this armor.
The romance was just another empty sin.
Wasted time and a chapter finished within.
Too close to feel what is real when the sun touches her skin.
Opportunistic cravings embelished by the thrill and what is left is a sorrowful shell.
Turn your cheek so I can't see your face anymore.
