dis·so·ci·a·tion

A Poem by AKhaus

Are you there or has time passed so quickly that I missed you?
The permanent detachment from this reality leaves me in a trance that extends the wings from my back.
Empty and without, the cold is like the sun against my skin.
I am not to blame, for shame, you seriously cannot point that finger at me.
It is the emotional coagulation that sticks in my throat as I try to enunciate the word love.
It is the timing of your gate that puts me on the bed of needles.
It is the fear of abandonment that crazes me within.

I am not attached.
I am not feeling you there.
I am not, not here unless you see me here.
