Oh Mother my mother

Oh Mother my mother

A Poem by AKhaus

Oh Mother my mother
You've been here since I was born and you are here now that I am torn.
You ask me why, why I give her so much time.
I must reply that I thought she could be mine.
I believed I loved her with the most sincere love.
I was mistaken and was fooled by the word "love".
Rippling off the tongue and sounding so sweet upon her mouth.

Oh Mother my mother
You hear me rambling about.
You ask me why, why I chose to stay stuck in this cloud.
I must reply that I am afraid to escape from this comfortable shroud.
I believed it would help me but soon I found out, for it was just another guile that she had running from her spout.

Oh Mother my mother
When will it be clear?
This fortune you've given me and the river of tears.
