the lesson

the lesson

A Poem by AKhaus

You cracked me open like an egg and watched me ooze.
I'm use to the pain, just not from you.
The shell wasn't quite pieced back together when you left so soon.
All the king's horses and all the king's men need not worry for I will soon be whole again.
Not much tarnishes this face and not much will be forgotten by the lesson I paid.
I lay it to rest and will not visit that grave.
It's just my rule not to be pain's slave.

It hurts but love has no rules. A lesson learned with a good outlook.
