Loki's Daughter

Loki's Daughter

A Poem by AKhaus

I should have known by the cast of black in your shadow, doom was in your blood.
I should have known by the tricks you played that suffering would always follow.
There are only so many webs you can weave before the rains sweep it all away.
The act of kindness masked by such ruthless cruelty and vengeance.
Keep those memories fresh in your mind for I am no longer going to ever be in your presence.
Fooled by you as a deacon of light, I now find myself wondering why I so loved Loki's daughter.
