what is love

what is love

A Poem by AKhaus

What is love but a mask for the players game.
Sweet honey dripping from a shell press hard against your face.
Lips filled with lies and a tongue twisted with kindness as it's guise.
What is love but a word that falls from your mouth with ease.
Heavy stones falling on my head every time you say it with shallow eyes.
A mouth that moves with such comfort as toxic tales and salted vows drop deep below my feet.
What is love to you?  What will it ever mean?
