at your will

at your will

A Poem by AKhaus

Sometimes I am something and sometimes I am nothing.
My convenient existence is but an ornament in your eye.
What price does this flesh hold?

I appear then disappear, I go at your will.
Disoriented and camouflaged in the reeds of your river, I will prosper at your will.
My life is only a haunted parable in your play, I suffer at your will.

I will be the benevolent blind only to satisfy your wonder.
I will be lonely and full of pride to protest your advances.
I will be a circle of time so that you can listen to my cries.

Sometimes I am something and sometimes I am nothing.
When will you decide?
