leaving the languished

leaving the languished

A Poem by AKhaus

Silent, subtle, serene with blood and tears.
Stoic, stunned and sinking slowly.
Trying to find value yet never understanding the meaning of worth.
I hear a piano and her ivory keys dropping down with an echo that holds me still.
Don't ask me to be more than I am, I don't know who I am.
I've been languishing in this moment that is playing repeat in my memory.
Sadness drenching me through with a hollow wind whistling past.
Punished, prosecuted and fined with this guilt.
Naked without ever having anything to call my own.
Soaring to heights without a way back.
I will cry with a cry that will shatter the crystal sky.
Jaded, just and hungry for the absence of this pain.
I will fight with a fight that will free me from this mind.
Leaving the languished, leaving and taking what was left behind.
