resolveA Poem by AKhaus
The wind takes more than my smile when it blows against my painted face.
The whispers in her storm leave an eerie song in my head. I take off my clothes as to lessen the blow. Even when I'm naked I am ashamed to say that my skin still pains. I am just two lips and shaking limbs. I haven't yet the resolve to let this river in. I apologize if I cannot go when that door shuts. My fear consumes my speech and I'm frozen to this thought, this whim that life will soon begin. Don't forget to let me in.
