A Poem by AKhaus

the web is laid.
the heart pounding as the blood rushes.
slow is the crawl as the creature breaks from its cage.
fangs exposed and eyes by the million gazing as I struggle.
waiting for the tearing.
losing breath.
stuck to these invisible strings and awaiting my death.
she says she is here to keep me from falling...
she declares herself the trust that keeps the boat floating.
how can I believe when her mouth makes me bleed.
