snow globe

It feels as though I am contained in a snow globe of misery.

My thoughts scattered and my emotions flying uncontrollably around.

It never takes much to stir me.

It is so easy to cause a storm within this glass dome.

And when it settles, my song still plays the same.

I just wait for the next handler to wind me again, and again, and again.

I need to just fall violently on the floor to break ... to escape this endless cycle which is chained to me.

This piece immediately reminded me of the Shatter Me music video but I absolutely love the way you've visualized this story/poem in my mind. I understand what you're saying too, the raw emotion written in the words is very powerful. Well-done.
