They sayA Poem by AKhaus
They say she understands when you walk away.
They say she will remember you even when you are gone. They say so many things that I am inclined to believe they are lying to me. I left something there, in that room where our suns melted, entangling. The blinds barely allowed the light to flee from our world. Now when I wake I see the emptiness and wish to dream it back again. They say you will not need me when you cry. They say you won't remember how my lips tasted. They say so many things that I know they have lied this entire time. Masks broken on the floor of this room and the separation is so cold. The bed still haunted by your heat and my skin yearns for the burn. Now I can't sleep because you never leave my mind. They say you will soon hate me for all the things I will do. They say you will despise my face, my walk, my every move. They say so many things that it's better that I go now rather than to lose all of you.
