Crush

Crush

A Poem by AKhaus

Break me!
Break me down to my roots and end me so your voice is the very last I will hear.
Mercy will be in my utter destruction.
Only at your hands will it be just, will it be right.
Crush my bones beneath your feet, crush all of me.
Demolish all that I have ever known so I can be free from this which haunts me still.

I need to crawl back up from the bottom, through the ground until I can reach the air.
I will stretch and grapple, I will suffer in my wakening but I will wake again.
And from my mouth fire will pour from my soul.
My jaws will be pried wide to allow the flames of impassioned heat to curl the edges of time.
I intend to blur all that you know so I can touch your face and hold your heart in my teeth.
