Road

Road

A Poem by AKhaus

This is going to be a long trip on this muddy road.
I’m going to have to lose things I never wanted to let go.
Feet stuck in that clay muck and legs throbbing.
I’m not going to understand the purpose of the sacrifice until I can reach the top of my mountain.
Oh how I wish I could stay here with you, how I wish I could have changed my nature.
