touch

touch

A Poem by AKhaus

Come here my love, come closer still and let us see what the dawn will bring.
The day will quench our tears as we betray each other in the hours which will proceed.
Skin shivering in this hurricane and I am so alone without your touch.
I am learning to leave the love behind but I cannot help wanting to die.
Smooth notes soaring to the sky as I cry for you to return to me even if it's a lie.
Let us invent a sanctuary of dreams so that we can exist without the pain of regret.
The tips of your fingers no longer caress, it is as though they have been forsaken from my flesh.
