cold

cold

A Poem by AKhaus

less than nothing in two seconds flat...
no thoughts, no worries when you have somewhere to go...
taking things that don't belong to you...
the hurt is real and the cold is darker than before...
I trusted you, now I am nothing...nothing but an amusement.
fists pounding, I can't quite learn to shut that door.
I wanted to believe and that is where I faltered...
silly, silly me.
how could I forget so easily?
It's just cold.
