little things

little things

A Poem by AKhaus

little little things that lay between my tongue and cheek
always the little things that sprout a doubt and flow such agony
we murder our mothers we murder ourselves
the little things simmer inside us and we disguise the insidious devil we created
the little things chip away at trust and love
the little things compel us to bury, to hide the little monsters
it's always the little things that stop us from living
those secrets, those painful moments we never speak of because of fear
you can't take away what you've never had, so let go of these little things and learn to live like you should have
