little creature

little creature

A Poem by AKhaus

Frail little child where did you go?
I have looked beneath the stairs and under the cupboards but you are nowhere.
Have you drifted away, so distant you cannot hear my call?
It’s getting cold outside and I would hope you would come in to thaw.
Sweet little creature why do you bury these thoughts?
The shame you wear and the forced smile is so apparently painful to see.
Will you please come back to me so i can sleep?
I need you near to calm these fears and complete the parts of me most dear.
