the road

the road

A Poem by AKhaus

I guess I thought I knew.
I suppose I should have known.
Why didn't you tell me when we had time?
I wish you would have showed me before I left this line.
I would not have had so many missteps and the river of tears wept.
Back and forth we go, back and forth.
We go from love to light and from hate to need.
Why are you the blood I need to bleed?
What binds us still, I am sure I do not know.
Why you are in my mind?
Why you are at every road?
