The offering

The offering

A Poem by AKhaus

And with every step there is a certain anguish that tingles in my soul, for I am stepping further from a moment that was so dear.

The pressing of this dagger alleviates some of this surrender but scars me through.

My love the offering to you so willingly. Your response so definite in its execution.

Time will never tell again this story of us. Time herself pales at the suddenness of your chilling departure from love to silencer.
