Coil

Coil

A Poem by AKhaus

how many faces can you keep hiding in this sleep?

how much more can be taken without realizing I am slowly dying?

the sun rises and my chest fails at your feet.

crawling towards an end to start again.

how much blood will pass before I can breathe again?

resurrected in such reprieve.

the ghosts don't go so quickly from my bed.

I will taste those lips for an eternity but will live without your flesh coiled around my soul.
