the extermination

the extermination

A Poem by AKhaus

it is what fate has lent me in the darkest hour, this silent dream.
flesh hanging off bone, eyes sinking as feet slipped in mud.
gathered as cattle, humans less than insects.
a catacomb of misery packed into a concrete womb of death.
how horrible the misery one can give to another.
the sickness of mind, twisted into an orderly method of science and extermination.
drained of thoughts and memories, stripped down to wire so cold and empty.
souls trapped beneath the veil of starvation and terror.
eyes catching all which they could glare, never to miss the moments of glassy stares of corpses piling.
