fear

fear

A Poem by AKhaus

fear is a coward, a frightened falsity you've put on me.
black shadows that seep beneath the doors, this entity seems to always find me.
I didn't think peering into the pool would show me such a hideous reflection.
I don't know how to begin to live for myself in this congested jungle of doubts.
I don't know how you can just stand there, standing there watching me scream.
I've been alone this entire time, the entire f*****g time and you said you could see me.
blame is hopeless when I have to just move beyond this, beyond you and this memory.
the terrors we can instill by questioning a persons everything.
inside out and gutted like a freak, I was just another prey in your game.
beat me, beat me with your words and judgement...you can't beat me anymore.
losing everything was necessary so I can lose these chains, hefty guilt that kept me down.
